Businesswoman and entrepreneur Gena Sabeva celebrated her birthday on January 16 with many colleagues and friends from professional circles. This year, the event also had a cause – entrepreneurs with all kinds of businesses showcased the products and services they offer to numerous guests, got the opportunity to express themselves, make new contacts and partnerships.
“It is a dream of mine for everyone in Bulgaria to be able to have their own business, and I have always supported entrepreneurs in various ways. This year, on my birthday, I decided to give each entrepreneur the opportunity to present themselves and their business – there were many stands, lectures, and presentations. The gift that people gave me is attending and supporting the businesses of all participants in the event in some form,”said Gena Sabeva.
Gena Sabeva is a businesswoman, an entrepreneur, and a mentor with over 30 years of professional experience. She is a partner at a family company dealing with construction project management, develops her own franchise mattress brand, and she has made it her mission to help people stay in Bulgaria and work for themselves, establishing their own businesses.
In 2010, she founded the Association of Interior Designers in Bulgaria (AIDB) and has made great contribution towards promoting the interior designer profession. Since 2019, she has been a part of the management of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) as a member of the Board of Directors, and in 2021, she became co-founder of the Entrepreneurship and Startup Council.
Gena Sabeva is also the organizer of various informal events, among which the weekly event “Business Paths”. The business hike covers the distance from Boyansko Hanche to Boyanski Waterfall and is an exercise for the mind and body, presenting opportunities to make new contacts and discover new business ideas.
Gena Sabeva's mission is to promote and support entrepreneurship in Bulgaria. She is also one of the most sought-after motivational speakers who has inspired hundreds of people from the stages of events such as TEDxSerdikaWomen, Business Lady Excellence, Fuckup Nights Sofia, and others.
